The promoters of HafenCity, a new district formed from 155 hectares of harbour area regeneration in Hamburg, have ensured that they'll never miss any media attention by asking the biggest stars of architecture to design dazzling buildings for them.
While Herzog & de Meuron's Elbe Philharmonic Hall is still the most exciting building of the lot, OMA/Rem Koolhaas's Science Center with aquarium and "scientific theater" looks like a good candidate to the title of Mecca for architecture tourists.
