Playing with discarded music devices

For his Play project, Icelandic designer Hrafnkell Birgisson used discarded players such as radios, record players, tape recorders and cd players and reanimated them with custom-recorded tracks from various artists.

The former look of the chassis is kept but the designer also gave it a more anthropomorphic appearance inspired by the musician's look. A serial device is individualised and personified.
