Inspiration-induced ubiquitous services

HIKARI- humanware is an Olympus research that explores a different type of ubiquitous services based on a "well-being life." The concept, called "inspiration-induced ubiquitous services," is different from conventional ubiquitous services which focus on assistance from the outside. Instead, the new services works on the inner self of individuals and thus encourages them to act in certain ways. It could help them reach their "well-being" goals like: loosing weight or being a good son (see possible scenarios on the website.)
Instead of dispensing advice and information directly to individuals, the services provide motives for them to act, based on which individuals make their own decisions and act accordingly. The system would use: As part of Olympus' effort to develop TPO-f sensors, two sensors each for measuring situations, actions, and the environment were test-developed and are tested. Humanware prototypes that incorporate the sensors described above are under development. |
