A secret service

The increasingly popular exchange of sensitive digital information demands a revision of security measures.

Designed by Sasker Scheerder and Olaf Matthes, and hidden in public, A Secret Service offers an alternative service to computer users dealing with the problem of password management.

A Secret Service invites you to submit your passwords and a timestamp for storage on the Secret Service website. It is then translated (text-to-speech), automated and broadcasted via webradio and live at Mediamatic Groundfloor every hour on the time of your choice. Of course, nobody can know that this is your password or what the purpose is, which makes the system completely safe.

To guarantee the absolute safety of your information, Mediamatic will take advanced security measures to protect the server on which your passwords will be saved.

Opening on the 15th of July, where the safety of these measures will be on display. If you are thoroughly convinced by the safety, you are invited to place your most sensitive information in their care.

Open from the 16th of July through the 14th of August.

UPDATE: Willem Velthoven from Mediamatic informs me that one of the security maesures consists of 4 live tarantulas that guard the linux server... the machine is in their terrarium that has 4 compartments to prevent the guardian spiders from eating each other!
