Comfort spaces for stressed travelers
|
The Comfort Zone, by Sandy Hong-san Chen, aims at designing a stress reliever space for weary travelers by introducing new materials and media in airports.
To help alleviate the stress and discomfort of travelers, the confort zone incorporates sound, lighting and soft materials into a hooded rocking chair that allows travelers to customize the atmosphere of their waiting/resting area. More pictures.
Hypothetically speaking each traveler would use an identification card which remembers the traveler's preferences. They would place their card on the card reader before entering the Re-Lounge space. This provides the Re-Lounge with some personal data, such as the boarding time so the traveler will be woken up by a gentle vibration buzz in the dreamPillow in time to board the next flight.
