Pixel Roller
|
Interaction Design WORK IN PROGRESS Show (12) The pixel roller, by Stuart Wood and Florian Ortkrass at rAndom (the ones of the Watch Paper), allows to roll out any image, video or text manually, at any speed or direction, round corners and over surfaces.
In the first version, Light Roller (images), the pixels are in the form of a series of 12 ultra bright UV LEDs situated along its axis. The LEDs excite phosophescent ink and leave trails of pixels that fade with time. rAndom is developing a paint version that uses inks to paint directly onto any surface, even grass or parking area. Impressive video. |
