Van Den Puup, from elite designer launched, a few weeks (month?) ago, a "crusade against the big stupid blue place, IKEA." (review in The Guardian), a series of crazy ad campaigns that focus on the values of the Swedish brand by inventing a fake movement against them.

He's not the only one who bears a grudge agaisnt the furniture supermarket chain. The Icelanders of Democratic Design Show give a sarcastic twist to some classic Ikea stuff: a stool is turned into a lamp , melted plastic plates become kitchen ustensils and poor lamps lay helpless on the floor.

My favourite is definitely the Defrosta stool, which "melts" under the weight of a person. (this one via ID Fuel.)
