Benoît Maubrey is currently showing in Berlin the Audio Igloo, an acoustic space made from disguarded electroacoustic junk.

When put together the boxes turn into a dome-like refuge for homeless speakers and a habitat for listeners of avant-garde music. Along with 400 speakers, are radio tuners, record players, and guitar amplifiers, all re-soldered into a new structure of not just recycled electronics, but also recycled sounds.

The installation runs until the 12th of December at the Singuhr - hörgalerie (acoustic gallery) in Berlin.
