A bunch of chemical engineering students built cars that run on unusual stuff such as beef liver and hydrogen peroxide for the "Chem-E-Car" competition at the American Institute of Chemical Engineers’ meeting.
The challenge was to design a car running on fuels created by controlled chemical reactions, using ingredients most of us have in the kitchen. "The two put together produce a gas, and the gas drives the car," said Bill Byers with American Institute for Chemical Engineers. Via Jalopnik. |
