Nike eyeD - 2014 Device Singularity

On the Core77 design board , there is "a walk-thru of a conceptual design project."

Scott Wilson and Stefan Andren, the authors of the "Athlete's Eye" concept researched emerging technologies and projected how these might mature over the next 10 years.

The device they imagined would allow people to see and "feel" what it is like to run 100m in under 10 seconds, or leap over a small forward and throw down a game-changing dunk.

The Nike eyeD device would monitor an athlete's performance, recording and analyzing data received from various body and environmental sensors and wirelessly stream information such as hydration level, core body temperature, and heart rate to eyeD accessories such as HUD glasses and wrist displays.

Embedded video technology would let spectators experience sport through the athlete's eye via Nike eyeD's Gigabit W-Fi streaming high-definition video. By linking the device to full-wall e-film displays users can experience larger-than-life sport.
