Digital watermark links products to the internet
|
Japanese company Digimarc is launching the first commercial application of a new digital watermarking technology for use with camera phones on a product catalogue. Market trials will start at the end of the year as product catalogues will be printed with watermarked digital images to allow consumers to navigate the Internet with their camphones.
The technology can also be used on food packages to provide additional information (the product’s history, the company’s other products, recipes, etc.) Via Piranet. |
