UK satellite snooping plan
|
According to The Inquirer (which took it from BBC 4 radio), the British Minister of the Interior, David Blunkett, confirmed that 5,000 "prolific criminals" will be tracked by satellites as part of a "five year plan" to curb crime. The system will apparently be linked to existing electronic tagging schemes to let authorities know where these people were. |
