The world as a blog

Mikel Maron has created a Flash-based application called The World as a Blog that tracks in (nearly) real-time posts from blogs across the globe by getting them to add a piece of coding that identifies a blogger's location.

The map of the world flashes up the location of anyone who has just written something that is syndicated via an RSS feed, including an extract of the story, and a link to the blog.
