Scientists at Kyoto University are developing microscopic devices that should someday eliminate the jabbing with needles, peeing in cups, and waiting around for test results. The Implantable Hospital Device will be made of micromachines able to monitor things like blood chemistry and transmit the data via a wireless antenna to a hospital monitor.
