WASTEOFBRAIN reports that the National Restaurant Association will launch in early 2005 a new program to companies that offer club punch card programs.

Rather than punching or stamping your club card each time you buy a sandwich, the system grabs your member id from your Bluetotth-enabled handheld and stores the transaction in a database. For members who do not have a Bluetooth enabled device, the Association will sell a small Bluetooth-equipped keychain.
