What happen at London Marathon?

Two weeks ago, the article A tag on the running shoe mentionned the fact that competitors at the Flora London Marathon had their positions tracked and recorded by electronic tags attached to their shoes, fans and relatives could follow the runner through text service provided by Orange.

The Guardian reports that the promised SMS never appeared. It seems that problem came from the software of the company supplying the timing system.
