By popular demand: a few words about Felice Varini's graphic remodeling of the Filiale gallery in Berlin.

I had read here and there about his optical illusion installations and wasn't sure i'd really like it. Well, i did. You have to stand at a precise point to be tricked and looking for that spot is playful. The colourful composition itself is really impressive no matter the place where you're standing.

I remember doing something like that for an architectural drawing class. It's called anamorphosis, and it's basically a 'reversed' process of making a perspective drawing on paper.. you can draft accurately for that whole thing. But then the artist could have just used a light projection for this. :)
