Wearable canoe
|
Yael Mer's works were one of the crowd stoppers at the RCA show.
Just after the storm in New Orleans, she designed a skirt that the wearer can inflate and turn into a canoe in case of flood. The project explores whether emergency and beauty can meet each other.
Her Hand Head Bag turns the biblical story of Judith and Holofernes into a handbag for users in search of a "sensation of victory without the violence!" More inflatable fun: Ann de Gersem's Life dress and the Space dress by Teresa Almeida. |
