Family tracking clock
|
At Techfest, Microsoft showed the teddy bear that keeps an eye on kids, but also the prototype of a digital wall clock that keeps track of each member of the family. Instead of numbers, the hands point to places — work, school, home — and can track a person's location to show where he or she is at any time.
The idea requires the members of the family to have a mobile phone; microchips in the phones allow tracking by satellite to within a few metres. The clock is not expected to be widely available for several years. Via The Scotsman and The Seattle Times. |
